Vetements’ second lookbook flaunts the sauciest SUMMERCAMP ever

The North of France gets the Vetements treatment

Posted by

Take the most hyped version of a summer camp you can imagine and pimp it out with deluxe high-fashion labels in a French château and you have the equation that sums up Vetements SS17 lookbook.

Coming in as the brand’s second lookbook, SUMMERCAMP puts their upcoming collection on full display through the lens of photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti. As a brand, Vetements flexes a unique mesh of friends and collaborators working together to create a movement that stands apart from the rest. AKA, we’re talking an 18-label collaboration featuring the likes of Juicy Couture, Brioni , CdG Shirt, Champion and Manolo Blahnik (to name a few). And it’s not just a quick flick-through book either. This is a coffee table heavyweight at 480 pages.

Considering the OG lookbook sold out in one day when it dropped last year, the team are set for a repeat sales day, timing the drop with Paris Fashion week. “We wanted to shoot the clothes on the Vetements team and friends and combine it with having fun,” said collective head Demna Gvasalia in an email to Vogue. “We rented a house in the countryside and stayed there for two nights, cooking, playing, chatting, shooting clothes, laughing, and having loads of fun!”

Primarily releasing through at IDEA at COMME des GARÇONS Trading Museum in Paris on October 3, SUMMERCAMP will later hit Dover Street Market London, New York, Ginza Tokyo on October 4, and will be available online the following day. Be sure to have a flick through some of the shots in the gallery above.
