A guest residency spot on BBC Radio 1 isn’t handed over to just anyone. It’s often reserved for genre-pushing artists, so who better to take charge of its Thursday night residency series than Flying Lotus?

Over the course of his two-hour show, FlyLo plays through a selection goods (self-produced or otherwise), debuting unreleased versions of ‘Theme’, ‘Thundercat’, and ‘Never Catch Me’ (with Kendrick Lamar) – taken off his recent fifth studio album You’re Dead. The genre-blending mix went on to feature tracks from James Blake, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug, Run The Jewels, Pink Floyd and many more.

Following a successful 2k14 residency series led by James Blake, BBC Radio 1 backs it up once again, with Flying Lotus set to be joined by Jon Hopkins, Hannah Wants, Skream, Heidi, George Fitzgerald, Solomun and Kaytranada for the 2015 addition.

You can stream Flying Lotus’ two-hour long show over at the BBC Radio site.
