If you were anywhere near the northern coast of NSW over the past week, you would have been forgiven for feeling a little hazy, as local authorities discovered and incinerated a number of marijuana crops, with one of them being the biggest crop they’d found in recent times. According to reports, police uncovered a cannabis crop bigger than the Sydney Football Stadium in the Bundjalung National Park, after being tipped off by suspicious vehicles entering the park earlier this month. Police say the “sophisticated operation” included 8500 plants, which had an estimated value of $8 million, and has already been incinerated. The bust comes as a part of ongoing efforts by NSW police to get to the source of Sydney’s weed supplies.
