It’s been reported that a man from Jamestown, in the northern region of South Australia, was caught driving a home-made motorised esky with three times the allowed blood alcohol level. The 25-year-old and his unconventional vehicle were stopped by police in the early hours of Sunday morning, where he was breathalised and recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.153. While the situation seems pretty comical, authorities quickly remind us that driving any sort of vehicle while intoxicated is against the law. The offender has lost his licence for 12 months, and has been charged with driving with drink-driving and driving while unregistered and unlicensed. He is set to appear in Port Pirie Magistrate’s Court later this month.
