It’s been a couple of months since the sad, untimely passing of A$AP Yams and while family, friends and fans have been grieving, there has been much speculation surrounding the cause of his death. Despite Rocky, and others within the A$AP fam, denying he died because of an overdose, the sad conclusion obviously points to the contrary. A tweet from NY Times’ Jon Caramanica revealed the Chief Medical Examiner’s results.
Sad news: Chief Medical Examiner calls ASAP Yams’s death accident caused by acute mixed drug intoxication (incl. opiates & benzodiazepine)
— Jon Caramanica (@joncaramanica) March 19, 2015
Ruled as accidental, the findings do indicate mixed drug intoxication as the cause. Among the substances found in the body, opiates and benzodiazepine (commonly found in sleeping pills) were mentioned specifically.
No further details have been provided yet, nor word from anyone else in the A$AP camp, but whatever the cause, there’s no diminishing this tragedy. RIP Yams.
