Andrei Eremin has released his Studio Ghibli inspired mixtape

Grooves inspired by the whimsical world of Hayao Miyazaki

Posted by

Melbourne based producer Andrei Eremin has today released the full version of his Studio Ghibli inspired instrumental beat tape under the moniker Ghosting, and it’s everything we thought it would be and more.

After first sharing the project last month with the release of One Summer (Spirited Away), the Grammy-nominated producer today released the Reimagining Miyazaki mixtape in full. Ghosting’s impressive debut instrumental mixtape is inspired by the wistful and minimalist soundtracks of influential anime director Hayao Miyazaki’s films and the mixtape takes samples from each of Miyazaki’s feature films and combines them with brooding synths and heavy bass, adding extra depth to the loose grooves Eremin is known for.

Check out the gallery above for a selection of Studio Ghibli audio and visual delights and head to Wondercore Island to purchase the Reimagining Miyazaki cassette or album.
