Debilitatingly low ticket sales was the reason behind the cancellation of the Rock The Bells festival Washington, D.C., and NY. Rock The Bells made it to LA and San Francisco but would have been a “devastating financial loss” to go ahead with the other US dates, according to festival founder, Chang Weisberg.
“It’s extremely unfortunate that we can’t complete the last half of the 10th Anniversary Rock the Bells tour. We did everything in our power to save the show.“
This is weird because theoretically the RTB lineup had everything going for it. Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator, Wu-Tang Clan, and virtual sets from Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Maybe after what happened at Coachella punters were scared Jimmy Kimmel would come and embarrass them again.
