Wale, aka “Rap Game Cry-Baby,” has added a verse to Rozay’s previously released freestyle over Lorde’s ‘Royals’, and also added a letter to his fans to the internet – which seems to be a roundabout backhanded apology to Complex magazine for threatening to knock staffers out after The Gifted was omitted from the publication’s ’50 Best Albums of the Year’ list.
After the initial drama, he took to Instagram to post this video as a kind of teenage ‘Fuck You’ to Complex, but seems to have slightly calmed down with sentences like:
I went through stages of frustration in my career with publications because of my own selfishness and sense of entitlement. I admit that.
Peep the rest of the letter here.
