Adidas Originals continues to expand their hyped EQT collection introducing the EQT support 93/17 and the premier of the women’s EQT Racing ADV. Paying homage to the past whilst looking to the future the 93/17 features a woven Primeknit upper fused to a full-length boost midsole with bevelling and sculpting that integrates the Three Stripes amongst superior comfort. The women’s Racing ADV, in similar fashion, takes elements seen in the past coupled with a stretch knit upper, striped webbing, neoprene collar piece and slimline, and sculpted PU midsole with quick lines for a modernised iteration. The two models dropped last week at a limited number of HYPE DC stores alongside the Support ADV and Support RF, so be quick if you’re hoping to cop.

Skepta further proves the extent of his now universal influence by teaming up with Nike to produce a unique Air Max 97 Ultra iteration harking back to the sneaker collecting days of his youth. It’s not the first time the two have paired (previously back in 2016 with the Air Max BW), this latest collaboration brings more of the man himself into the design. Skepta spoke with Nike saying, “When designing the Air Max 97 Sk, we took the colour palette of Morocco into consideration, but also the palette of the 1999 Air Tuned Max. That was the first shoe I ever saved up money to buy, so I wanted to bring its magic to the 97—the magic that made me first love Air Max when I saw it as a child.” From the pictures we’ve seen this is a truly standalone edition to the Air Max 97 empire, featuring a polyurethane-coated copper, rose gold leather details with a black mesh upper, and a welded swoosh as opposed to the usual embroidered logo.

For those out there who prefer to somewhat hide their sinful Hypebeast tendencies yet still need to exercise their Yeezy addiction, the Adidas Yeezy Powerphase was a welcome edition. While the understated silhouette was previously only available in a traditional white, two new colourways in monochromatic grey and all black have been confirmed. Kim Kardashian let a few images slip of both models and Kanye himself was recently spotted by Yeezy Talk Worldwide sporting the new grey iteration, giving us a first look at what’s to come. Whilst the images of Kanye themselves low quality at best, its enough to tide us over for now.

2017 continues to blur the lines between high fashion and streetwear. The world is set to see Vans team up with the fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld. The Chanel designer is geared to take on an apparel and footwear collection reimagining six classic silhouettes. Nothing has been confirmed, but rumours are circling that the much adored Chequerboard Vans slip-on, which has seen a nostalgic resurgence of late, is to be included in the lux remake. Stay tuned for more info and expect the collection to release on the 7^th of September.

adidas Originals have blessed sneaker lovers with a number of now classic lines including the Ultra boost, EQT, NMD, and of course YEEZY. Each collection is a thriving powerhouse in its own right, but Adidas been kind enough to add yet another silhouette to the arsenal: the Prophere. Somewhat playing into the chunky shoe trend that’s taken over 2017 the silhouette is a welcome new look to the catalogue. Featuring a slip-on prime-knit upper (similar to that of the Ultra Boost) and striping akin to the NMD CS2, its easy to see where inspiration has been drawn. The shoe also comes with a thick three stripe panel overlay with a wavy rigid midsole setting the look firmly apart from other models in the Adidas universe. The Prophere is set to make its debut in December.

Finally deciding to end the painfully long wait, Virgil Abloh and Nike have released images of all ten silhouettes lucky enough to be reinterpreted for their upcoming collaborative efforts. The first pack to grace our presence titled “REVEALED” will consist of the Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Presto, Air Vapormax, and Blazer Mid. This first half of the collection will be pre-released at Nikelab locations worldwide throughout September.

The remaining five sneakers will encompass the separate “GHOSTING” title pack and will be including the Nike Air max 97, React Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Zoom Vaporfly, and the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. All ten silhouettes will be yours to get on the November 10 via NikeLab and other selected retailers worldwide.

In an interview with GQ regarding the Air Force One iteration Abloh noted that he “wanted to make something that stops you from mindlessly scrolling”, a comment that could easily be applied to the collaboration in its entirety.
