Going to Japan was so memorable for me. We stayed there for a month, played a sneaky one-off show and made some lovely new friends.The culture shock was real as it was the first time we had been overseas, but locals made us feel very welcome. These are some cute bags we got for low low price of 500円 ✨

The natural landscape in rural Japan is hauntingly beautiful, especially in winter. We rode a boat out to the remote Sado Island off the coast of Niigata, stayed with a hippie Japanese family for a couple of days and hired a lil car to drive/explore the island.

As soon as we got back from Japan we were taking our single ‘Snare’ on tour around Aus. We were blessed to have our Sydney launch sold out a week in advance which was huge. Alison Wonderland came through to hang and show support which was lovely. UV boi also flew down from Brisbane just to hang for our show, he ended up hitting the mic all night.  Making new friends cos we all love and make music is  the best  :’) . Also Wavey & Basenji had a sneaky b2b after our set which was lit.

Massive thanks to Alison Wonderland for bringing us along on her ridiculously big/awesome Warehouse Project. Each secret location was completely rammed, crowd’s super responsive so that was great. Alison Wonderland kills it of course, and anyone who’s been to a show knows she’s one of the most passionate n energetic performers out there. We had fun too, of course. Also AWE from LA was on the bill for this tour and we’ve been low-key fans for ages it was really nice to finally meet him in person, we played Smash Bros between shows in our hotel.

2ManyDj’s b2b2b2b ( Us, Wave Racer, Slumberjack, Alison Wonderland, Basenji, AWE) taking turns djing like this is a lil sloppy and crowded, but when you’re all friends it’s too fun so whatever.

We toured alongside Wave Racer around Aus for Porter Robinson’s  Splendour in the Grass sideshows and it turns out he’s hugely into Super Smash Bros (and also really good at it).  Highlight was definitely playing Smash on our laptop with everyone.

Splendour in the Grass was so damn muddy this year, but nothing could crush the vibes. We were clashing with mega-girl Alison Wonderland & Tame Impala  but still had an amazing (loyal) crowd that was so cool. Byron is just such a nice place too, we stayed in a house on stilts right on the beach and caught the bus in each day to hang.

Also Kučka from Perth came through to perform Walk With Me and absolutely slayed it. You have to witness how amazing she is live, her vocals are perfect in the studio and translate to the stage flawlessly, which is rare and a display of true talent. We’re super grateful to have worked with her. ✨

OutsideIn is a festival run by our management Astral People. We’ve been going for the past four years and they always bring exotic and bold lineups and curate the perfect vibe. The crowds are so intimate,  open-minded and responsive so it’s a refreshing change compared to some of the more mainstream festivals. We played this year, and debuted our new live set, I drum on an spd-sx and my brother uses an Mpk25 and stem mixes on an APC40. Kučka performed at the festival too so it was only natural she featured in our set too. Nicole Millar also came through for a throwback performance of our first ever single Phantasm  ~ nostalgic

I got intensely sunburnt so there’s makeup covering the redness on my face. So worth the effort of doing dance lessons for this film clip. We met the two backup dancers Marina and Amrita at Splendour and had to have them on our shoot for ‘Walk With Me’. We’d never danced before so even just learning the choreography took forever. We had one practice rehearsal together and like true pros they picked up the moves in like five minutes and gave us some tips on how to bop better, much love. The final result looks so nice when we’re all dancing in sync.
