Jhene Aiko and Big Sean talked to Flaunt magazine about their upcoming collaborative project, Twenty88 and things got a little hot and heavy. “The whole idea of the man and woman duet,” Aiko says. “Especially a whole project, is just good for people to see. That duality is a perfect combination.”

Aiko discusses the motives behind the collaboration. “We’ve created another world,” she says. “Both me and Sean are super into fantasy-driven movies and so combining stuff like robots and sex, that pretty much sums us up… We’ve created these characters that are extensions of ourselves, it’s highly sexual.”

The project, according to Big Sean, has an eclectic vibe, channeling the highs and lows of love and intimate relationships. “It gets turned up, then it gets melodic, then it gets vibed out. It touches all these things, but it sounds very cohesive.”

“It was good to have songs from when it was a happy moment,” Aiko notes. “It’s us having fun. And it’s also a look into our future too, you know, maybe…”

Now that is enticing.
